Keep your eye on Ebay. Try the recyclers that advertise in Excellence like 20th St. They are out there.

i imagine there will be a few popping up now that the supercharger kits are out there, and you can't run one of those with the cover - i haven't decided to sell mine yet, but i'm sure i will eventually

Does the cover fit on all years? Or are they year specific? The title of your post makes me wonder...

they all fit all years - the 92 unit has embossed "hands" on the lid - the later one doesn't

Hot968, i found my cover if you are still interested.

byte, the cover fits all years but the later cars do not have tabs so it wont clip into place. Just kind of sits there loose (but not loose enough to go anywhere...as it rests btwn the airbox/bumper & under the hood).

Just did the air box mod to my car but I like the looks of the engine bay with the covers in place. Anyone know if the covers reduce my new-found airbox mod horsepower? Is that why everyone takes them off?

And what I meant by that post is that I DO NOT have the covers and would be interested in finding some if they do not negativly effect HP.

the cover around the airbox actually helps keep the intake air cool, so it adds horsepower

the one in the rear helps prevent a small amount of the heated engine bay air from circulating around, thereby helping keep the intake cooler - it's a very small amount though, and is really more just for aesthetics

in either case, it's a win/win - go for it

Has anyone who has installed engine bay covers on their '94 or '95 fabbed up some brackets to hold them in place? I want to do this as I don't like mine just sitting in there loose. Thought I'd check first to see if there has been a successful solution. Anyone? Pics?

Thanks,

Austin

not yet - i have to do something like that anyway for the supercharger cover piece, so i see no reason i can't make them work for both applications

Flash,

I have a set of covers for my 94 model (it did not come out with them). What changed that you cannot use the original clips to install these?

I was going to fit these to neaten up the engine bay, but have never got around to it after buying them. With the mods to the car - this may never happen now.

Look forward to learning another aspect of the car that I didn't know.

I am going to have to get a 968 anorak.
