Dynolicious - awesome iPhone application!
#21

Just downloaded this app for my i Touch. What a cool toy, but am also concerned about the ipod taking collateral damage! Certainly not expecting it to replace a full dyno but for $15 what do you expect. Will post the data when I've found a suitable road.

269 at the wheels is pretty high

what weight did you input?

the g-tech says to start with the gross weight and subtract for missing passenger - this software says to just input a weight - this is a critical component for accuracy though

starting with 3086 curb weight (add 66lbs for a tip), it should be about 3275lbs for a manual hatchback, and about 3430 for a standard cab - this presumes a full tank of fuel, a driver of 150lbs (add or subtract as needed), and about 40lbs of junk in the car - this figure may actually be very low though, as i have seen 75 lbs of junk stuffed into the cubbies and tire area - big speaker boxes get heavy too

and don't forget aftermarket tires and wheels are usually heavier than stock - add that in too

i'm looking forward to playing with this thing this week myself, and comparing it to the g-tech - just haven't had time yet
