I have a problem with my power door lock switch that I hope someone can shed some light on. If I lock my doors with the switch, I can only unlock them with my remote or by turning the ignition switch to the off position. Its been this way for the 3+ years I've had the car but it only recently has become annoying.



Is the switch suppose to allow me to unlock the door as well? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/blink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />



My keys were in the house while I was getting something out of the car. I accidentally hit the door lock button and when I opened the door the alarm went off. Dough!! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/ohmy.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I'll confirm how mine works, but my recollection is that the button on the console can be used to lock (and the red light comes on) and unlock the doors. I don't recall if I can open the door when locked from the center lock button, or what happens with the alarm - but I have an aftermarket alarm that doesn't arm with the center button, so that's probably not relevant to your situation.

I've ranted about that recently, myself. Turns out if you check the Owners Manual, this is how the car was designed.
