So I finally was able to get a DME harness. $500 plus shipment. Who knows what it will look like but I guess I can repair the odd thing before installation if needed. Has anyone ever replaced one of these? Is it a DIY project? I want to replace my own and then try to repair the old one once it is off the car to have a spare.
Any previously published instructions will be helpful to me.
Please keep in mind that I have 100 pounds of work to do, time to do about 10 and patience for only 4.

Hmmm, well OK. Maybe it is not something anyone has done. I will get the Porsche dealer to do it I guess.

Holy DME harness Batman!
The used DME harness has arrived. Looks to me to be in very good condition with no evidence of the heat damage to mine. Pic is attached. It is big!
I have spoken to Pete and am going to try to get the car to him in September to have it installed and some other regular service done at the same time.
Then it will be atomic batteries to power and atomic turbines to speed.
Thumbs up, at least until it is installed, to Nineapart in Ontario who supplied it.

Sadly, some are missing. But they are likely on the one in my car being replaced and perhaps can be removed and reinstalled in the new one.
