Disrespectful parking lot drivers
#1

Well, no matter how far out I park the car, there is ALWAYS some idiot who decides to park right next door.  Finally decided to take a picture.  This seems to happen more often than not.  Maybe its my fault for caring about the car.  I parked way out there, the lot was only about 10% full in the first place!   Usually it is an F-150 king cab, long bed, dually, sport, jacked up, F-350, noisy diesel with the motor running, monster tires, and a long hitch that sticks out where other cars can hit it.  Typically, after parking, I do the glance back thinking "cool car", nobody next to me, and then come out of the store with a big surprise.

What do you guys think?  Does this happen to you also?

Around here it's because 1) the driver wants to get his or her car in the shade, or 2) the belief that "a Porsche owner won't door-ding my car so I will park next to him (or her)".

Most of the time it seems to be people who care about their cars so they park next to someone whose car is safe. I know I try to park next to nice cars for the same reason, regardless of what I am driving.

or 3).   Since our cars are smaller it makes the 2 adjacent spots look larger, and people would prefer those.

When I park far away I angle the car to take two spots and make it difficult for people to park next to me. Being an ultra liberal I got over the guilt of taking two parking spaces when I realized I was protecting my asset. Our assets are an endangered species. Seems green to me!

Just don't be surprised if someone keys your car...very popular sport here in liberal California with cars parked diagonally which take up two spaces . Corvette drivers are reportedly the biggest "victims" of this sport and yet they never learn. Truth be told, the thought of maybe deflating a tire here and there of those entitled dual space parkers has crossed my mind once or twice.

That's hilarious ( the video ).

I always try to find one of those spaces at the edges of any given parking row, where only one side of your car is exposed to other car doors. Minimizing the risk of dings by 50 % is a sound strategy . Just have to be careful about the risk of curb rash if you get too close to the "safe" side.

I hope you're not suggesting liberals key cars. Maybe it's just followers of sanders and warren.

Nah, followers of Sanders would just take your car, part it , and then redistribute its components to more deserving drivers than you . Warren would definitely key your car, not the kind of woman that would put up with any b.s.

She would use a tomahawk rather than a key.

From the recent West Coast gathering of 968s. Bob took this while we were sleeping in. Thankfully, the Honda was gone when we went to leave. Some people!

Probably just a Grateful Dead fan who saw your plate, thought you might be Corrina, and wanted to "move in closer".

ibpesq,

The last asshole that did this to me had his drivers side front window broken out his vehicle place in neutral, parking brake released and pushed out into the middle of the parking lot. I left a note suggesting he learn how to park his POS SUV.
