Differential leak/weeping
#1

I have what appears to be a bit of "weeping" on my diff case (see pic below).   I last changed diff fluid 1.5 years and ~2500 miles ago.   I backed the car up onto ramps and pulled the fill plug on diff and had a slow drip coming out of the fill hole, so unless the angle of car being on ramps (rather than lift) is affecting whether this is the correct angle to measure full, it hasn't lost much.  Cleaned it up as best as I could -- I suppose I'll try checking it again with the car level on an actual lift (and go ahead and swap fill plug while I'm at it).

I assume diff case seal is likely suspect?   If so, I guess I'll add that to my "if I ever happen to get that deep into that part of the car, I'll replace it" and continue to monitor.  My rear main seal is in this same state with a slow oil leak - figured I'd swap it out if/when I need a clutch replacement.

That looks like a shaft seal leaking, rather than the diff case

If you don't already have one, here's a tool to install the rear main seal. You know, when you get around to it...
