I think we have some racers here on this forum and I´m interested in what your carweight is? Curbweight!
My is 1135kg with 20liter and no driver (2502 lb)
If I install a rear window in Lexanglas I will reduce the weight with approx. 20 kg.
And even more with FG-doors <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Wow thats light.
Looks like I'm going to have to dump the heater to keep up.
a 1000 kg 968 would be great.
Do you think its possible?

I think 1000kg is hard to achieve, maybe I can take of 30-40kg more. I can´t see what´s next after that <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/blink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
Good luck <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

[quote name='flash' date='Feb 18 2005, 05:36 AM']i can't figure out what got removed to get it that low - all of the removeable body panels together only weigh 300lbs, so maybe 150 to be saved there - i'm guessing it's down to door skins, no dash, dipped chassis, the whole works - 2500lbs - that's gotta be fun

How much was your new wiring loom?
There is a lot on the oem loom that I no longer need now.

[quote name='Eric_K' date='Mar 3 2005, 05:11 PM']So did the glass break when you were trying to take it out or did you go for the quick removal technique and take a hammer to it? It might have been covered in that thread but my Swedish language skills are non existent.
I'm working on the same project now. I attempted to remove the glass and I had it almost completely seperated. I lifted up one side and it exploded into 10,000 pieces all over the car and garage. Stupid me. What a mess to clean up. FYI, The box of glass bits weighed 40lbs.

What thickness of the Polycarbonat do you use? My is 3mm!
I forgot to take pictures of the result, I will do that this weekend
