Pardon my ignorance, but can someone enlighten a new member as to what the Crystal COve event is?

There might be 2 Bills there, depending on the answer...

Crystal Cove is a Car meet between Laguna Beach and Corona Del Mar. It is in the Crystal Cove shopping center on the east side of PCH. It starts early 7-9am after 10am it is pretty much done. There is a Starbucks and a great Bakery/Breakfast Restaurant. It is great event to take your family. You will see some of the rarest cars in the world show up on any given weekend. The lot fills up fast so get in line early if you want to show your car. Walking through the general parking area can be just as neat as the main area. This is one of the things I miss most about So.Cal.

Eric, I just looked at some the cars in those thumbnails, and the weather. Now just why did you move to Colorado? for the ice and snow and cold... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Ken, It was a decision that took into consideration a bunch of things. Mostly it was to be closer to family. We were also ready to try something new (15 years in So.Cal). Denver is a great alternative to So.Cal the cost of living here is a bit lower. We purchased a 3400 sqft Home in a Historic District in Denver we could have never afforded that in So.Cal. So far the winter has been very mild. Snow today, melts away the next. I really looking forward to the Spring when the leaves are in bloom. There are 80-100 y/o trees in our neighborhood that create a arbor like effect down all of the streets in this neighborhood. I hear there are some great roads to Drive and I am looking forward to them soon. Here are some pics of the house and a couple of the Squirrel that lives in one of the trees next to the house. Both were taken of him in an Aspen tree in front of the house. Do I miss So.Cal yes from time to time... Sure. Although there are a lot of things I certainly don't miss about the place too. I will start off with people are much more personable and friendly here. Over time you become numb to the stuck up attitude in OC.

I certainly miss hanging out with the guys at CC. I was spoiled living 10 min from the event. The grass is always greener... For now we are very happy in Colorado. I definatley feel more settled in here it feels like home.

enjoy the pics...

Speaking of cold... I have a cold... That might be part of the reason I am a space cadet today... I forgot you lived in CO too! I have a feeling we will be here for quite a while. Especially after this last move. Not gonna do it again!

I am having doubts about the viability of a fun run. The candidate roads are probably going to have "issues" after this monsoon. Perhaps another time for a fun run?
