Restoration Part 3
#1

I am at a point where I am now going to flip the car over (at least most of this) and do some stuff underneath - I should say have some stuff done as these are things I don't intend to do myself. Here is what I am looking at:

All from RS Barn with price guestimates:

Performance Chip Software: $180

Header - Ceramic Coated: $1195

Test Pipe: $145

Catalytic Converter: $300

Cat Back: $699

So there's my exhaust (which does need to be replaced) and chip...I don't know a thing about suspensions, but I know I just went from 16 to 18 inch wheels so I best do something, and if she's in the air anyway what should I do?

Strut Brace: $280 (with the pretty Black)

Upper Strut Mount: $200

Lower Chasis Brace: $190

Castor Blocks: $200?

Okay - yikes - now I'm up to $3,400 or so not including labor at my local shop. Wanted to do all of this before the wheels but happen to find them earlier than I thought for a hard to pass on price. I am fine with how she handles now so am not that interested in doing anything that with my driving I will never even notice - but still am wondering...

What am I missing and should be on the list?

What is on the list that doesn't really need to be?

Thanks!

skip the test pipe - no real gain to be had there, and in fact big losses on a street car

biggest cat you can find - needs it for both emissions and back pressure - big torque losses with high flow cats or worse, no cat

everything else sounds great
