Back from a trip to Mecca (Porsche museum and factory). The museum was everything you've seen in pictures. It was filled with every imaginable Porsche including the 968(Cabriolet). I think I took a picture of every car there including the new replica of the first hybrid from Ferry Porsche. The factory tour was just as exciting except they don't allow picture. The assembly line was a thing of typical German or maybe Japanese precision. They make 911s, Boxsters, Caymans and 911RSRs cars on the same line. The parts arrive at each station with the correct parts. They produce 160 cars a day with 2 shifts. You can eat off the floors it is so clean. We stayed in Stuttgart at the Am Schlossgarten. A very nice hotel next to a beautiful park. It is only a stones throw from the S-Bahn (metro). The Porsche Platz is only 4 stops from the hotel. I would recommend this as you can see the city of Stuttgart which is very nice. Didn't get to the MB museum as it was "free" day and the line was enormous. MB really dominates the city as in all of Germany. Had a bonus adventure. When in Parma, Italy (wife attended an Italian embroidery show)there was a Mille Miglia recreation with a tribute to Ferrari. There were suppose to be 150 Ferraris from new to vintage. They had a checkpoint in the Duomo (main church) piazza. Again I tried to take a picture of every car. I left the square after 2 hours. There were vintage cars other than Ferrari such as 356s, Autin Healys that were at the end of the line. Parma was a stop on their way back to Brescia. It was an awesome sight with car after car coming in for a time stamp. All in all in was a great trip. I will send some pictures to Flash as I can't figure out how to use the attachments
