contemplating new project - need test car
#1

i have been thinking about what winter projects to do, and after going over a lot of data, i am thinking about developing a series of new chips. i think there is more on the table, and i think i can make something pretty cool.

the chips would be designed for the guy who has only the airbox mod, and maybe a cat-back (probably 2 different version to handle that). it would be a street chip that would still pass emissions. i'm not looking to make something that is only good for track.

i already have a tip car to work with, but not a 6 speed.

so, i need a test car and driver to do it. this will involve a couple of days of on the road tuning, and a day at the dyno.

it must be a socal car

it must be a 6 speed car

it must be essentially stock

it must be in good mechanical condition, with recent belts

it must be under 80k miles

it cannot leak any fluids

it must have OEM wheels and tires. 16s or 17s. no 18s.

it must have OEM clutch and flywheel

it must have OEM header and cat

it must have the OEM fuel pressure regulator

it can have the airbox mod or not. doesn't matter.

this project won't start until after a couple of others are finished, so definitely not until closer to the end of the year at least.

when i am done, if it all works as anticipated, i will be offering the new chips at a VERY low price. (thinking about well under $100)

any volunteers? (yes, you get a free chip out of the deal)
