Comments and suggestions invited...
#1

I've started this page in an attempt to create a more thorough and attractive version of this PCA page. I plan to add references to the factory turbo cars, and perhaps a small photo gallery.

Any comments or suggestions on this? Not guaranteeing all will be implemented, but certainly seeking input.

excellent work! I will add it to the 968 Links page I am working on! Make sure you submit the page to the search engines I think this is very useful information for everyone especially those in search of a 968.

by and large looks good

the compression ratio is 11:1 not 8.3:1

on horsepower, 236 is SAE, 240 is DIN - maybe include which spec you are using

i can't see a decimal point preceding the 34 on drag

Thanks! I got all those numbers from the other (PCA) page and pasted them into a new table without editing. Will revise.

What an improvement!

A few thoughts:

Though it will increase the page length I think you should go up a font in size for the body text just to increase readability. And, a couple of more pictures would not hurt. Preferably official Porsche A.G. images or a poster.

Which, I suppose, rules these out...

Damn right it's not right... LOL

On a more serious note:
Quote:...This power (up from 208 hp in the S2), was delivered in part by a new 'Variocam' system, which used a camshaft chain drive with an adjustable tensioner to provide up to 15º of variable intake valve timing.

Is this correct? I combined copy from the Advance Information document and the PCA website when I put this page together, but changed the above to 15º from 7.5º, because that was my understanding. 1s a 15º range correct?

RPM: you'll see a font change and more images on the page now.

you should add the torque numbers for the engine

225 ft-lbs @ 4100 RPM

I read somewhere this was the first N/A engine to make 75 ft-lbs of torque per liter.

ah yes,

Actually, that statistic is in the page: see column 2 at the top. But I don't mind adding that to the specs section...

Thanks! This page is closed for reader input with my thanks.

I'm sorry: the page 'blew out' during some recent editing and I didn't catch that.

It's now 977px wide, which should be fine. Let me know...

ALSO: added links to the 4 major 968 discussion forums.
