After installing my Dice unit I had a problem getting the climate control to work. . I added the ashtray mod allowing me to dock my iphone there, which in turn required me to remove the Climate control unit. When I put everything back and reconnected the batt. I tested the Dice and it worked flawlessly. But the climate controls were dark and not responding First thought was I didn’t plug something in snug enough. Nope all plugs were tight. So i figured I tripped a fuse. No again. All fuses are good. So I decided to turn the engine on, remove the unit from the dash and wiggle each wire to see if I could get the power to kick on. when I wiggled the center harness the heat came on . I faced everything upright to realign and put back into the dash and it shut off. It appeared to be a short in the wire because I could make everything come on by bending the center group of wires. As I bent back and forth with motor on the Air would come on and off full blast. I finally reinstalled it allowing the wires to bend at the back of the unit in a way that made them happy. Now it comes on every time. But get this, now the fan in the front of the radiator (pusher fan) spins too fast. when I first start the engine it spins at a norm speed. After about 20 seconds of quietly spinning it begins to rev up faster and faster till it starts to make a vacuum like noise. Not crazy loud but enough to hear that the fan motor is under stress.
I posted this on E46 and I’m getting little help. I know I’m talking to Porsche guys but any help in trouble shooting this will be appreciated.

Update-
So I go to a friend of a friend who has 325 w/ a bad motor. Hes thinking of donating the car which is a shame as it looks great inside and out. He allows me to take his IDHK (climate control) and try it. When i plug his cc in, my fan runs at normal speed <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> . Great. I offer him some cash and move on. However I noticed on the way home that none of the button are responding! the unit is lit but none of the buttons light when pushed and the LCD read out is dark. I figured it was his unit. So I buy another IKHA. It arrived today. I pop it in and it also reacts the same. All fuses in the glove box are still good. Any ideas? Anyone?
