Clicking sound behind glove box
#1

I have a new weird sound that occurs at start up and generally goes away after driving a few miles. It sounds like it is coming from behind the glove box. It's a fast clicking sound. Definitely has nothing to do with engine. Sounds like an electrical switch that is trying to work. Please share your diagnosis with me!

There are several threads about clicking noises when you do a search. There are definitely some good leads in there for you to check out.

Have you checked the working condition of all the buttons and functions of the HVAC system?

Remove and clean the door light switches, it will be the power window relay going nuts

My car has the same "problem", and it's related to the interior temp switch.

The ticking starts when the AC is turned of and the temperature switch is turned left to a temperature lower then the outside temperature. Looks like the a relay.

When I turn on the AC or turn the temp switch to the right (higher temp) and the interior reaches the preferred temperature, the clicking sound is gone.
