Clear ROW turn indicators.

Does Porsche make the orange 968 euro turn signals? There is no way to convince whoever manufactures those parts to make a batch in clear? Or are they no longer made?

2 things -
1- are the lenses that everybody buys to delete the front bumper warts 993 lenses? Are they really ill-fitting?

I didn't see a clear answer to this question. I did read however that they are a direct replacement which leads me to believe that the bumpers stay. The pics and comments of the 993 however show them gone.

So are the bumpers in or out?

so you can buy the clear 993 lenses, which definitely appear ill-fitting close up, and most people only seem marginally happy with once they've installed them, or you can buy the orange "Euro" style lights which also replace the bumper as these bumpers are a US spec thing. My question was, why couldn't we have the orange "Euro" lights made in a short run of clear plastic?

To clarify, yes, these two options both replace the black bumper.

I did get an answer to this as someone (sorry can't remember) last week posted a picture for me to see the fit of the 993 signal lights. I decided to call Sunset and get the original Euro ambers. Price is good only problem is that the only way they ship to Canada is UPS and that's would cost me as much as the lenses with the border broker fee that UPS nails us with - 50.00 mandatory + shipping from the border to you house on top.
Need to find and Oregonian to buy them and send them to me USPS. I'm too far away or I would take a weekend trip and drive there.

Found this picture of a 968 with Smoked turn indicators. Asked the owner about them, waiting for a reply.

They may be 993 indicators with tint over them, have to see a better picture.

The 993 signals come in that tint, you just have to live with the fitment and the price. More $$$

here is a websight that sells the smoked indicators. They are 993 units. There is also a very good picture of the poor fitment. Click on the picture of the clear indicators.

As much as I want clear lenses, the 993 ones suck when you see the fitment!

I can contest that the 993 turn signal lenses do not fit well. I would be very worried about debris and water getting stuck in the socket area. It's like putting a round peg into a triangle shape. It does not line up.

I would like to get the clear's turn signals for my car but no one has been able to do this. I think it would finish off the car nicely. All reds in back, all clears up front. Just my 2 cents.

to be honest, i wish they made tail's with amber turn signals (like the late model 928's had). They would have been on my car long ago.

The only lighting options we have are;

-french Spec Fog Lights (yellow lenses)
-Japanese Spec tail lights (white reverse lights)
-ROW Amber turn full turn signals (no bumperettes)
-ROW turn signal indicators for the fenders which requires drilling holes in your fender.

And of course, there is custom stuff out there.....like Altezza taillights i've seen, 993 fixed headlights & racing fixed headlights.
