Rutger, I got mine from Stuttgart Performance back in December 2003. I read somewhere that they have stopped making the chrome 968 emblem. Their address is: 5 Vancouver, Aliso viejo, CA 92656 and the phone number is: (866) 861-5337 My receipt does not show a website address or an email address. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Sorry about the confusion. Here is the link for a company that can supply the "968" numbers in chrome colored plastic. Mine are in Polar Silver.

They also supply the "P O R S C H E" inlays for the 968 cam covers.

That is good news! I bought the letters for my vanity cover over the ignition wires from Jageng and am very impressed with their quality and the service I got from them. They are much cheaper than the ones I got from Stuttgart Performance as well. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

A strong Second to the above... just ordered a set of "968" for the butt of my car (had a delete option, but who cares; it's mine now!) and Veronique was tremendously helpful, esp. when I couldn't seem to get my CC to work on their web site! DOH! Looks to be nice stuff...will follow up when it arrives!

I know what you mean! In fact, after I get the darn thing and lay it out on the car, I just may say "Fugedaboudit" too! But, if it looks cool, then I've got it! May just stick it on with some 3M double stick for a while and see how it goes...

Of course, Flash, all the non Porscheophiles out there think your car is a Ferrari, so why confuse them with numbers and badges and all that!!!

Damn, it does sort of look like a 365 GTB Spyder... oh, well... if ya got it, flaunt it! Now, just get that linen sport coat, pink T shirt, Raybans, one days growth of beard... you get the idea!

Agree with both of you. I removed the rear "968" but could not get the black adhesive out of the polar silver paint. The black adhesive grew down into the paint and would not come out. The new "968" in silver was a reasonable compromise for the 'cleaner' look.

just wait until someone at a gas station tells Bob " hey, is this the new Miata ? wow, they sure improved the look of that car ! " .. then see how fast all the P-badges and decals get installed back on !

I was wondering if anyone has ordered a 968 badge from jageng.com and has any idea what "steel flex" and "bronze flex" are. Are they actually metal? Any ideas what they look like?

I ordered a set from Jageng and they are nowhere near the quality I expected. The edges are jagged and it looks like it was cut out using a hobby knife. Needless to say the lettering did not end up on my car, but I thought it looked good enough to fearure on my tool cart.

I am still looking for a shop that sells high quality silver letters.

Funny - we just sawed the 968 off the back of mine. Used dental floss per someone's recommendation. Rope, not tape. That's the extent of my DIY for that.

Interestingly, my black car has a silver hole in it now, so I ordered up some more Dr. Colorchip to fill in the gaps (has a weird 968 shadow on the back).

I like it clean back there....

me too - that's why i deleted mine, and got rid of the 3rd brake light while i was at it - makes the car look a lot wider
