Forum members at Watkins Glen
#1

Three Forum members participated at the Glen this past weekend with one coming by to visit. It was a beautiful weekend with dry and sunny days. Temps were low to mid 70's first two days with mid to high 70's on Sunday. It is interesting to meet up with 968's and especially those that are in the Forum and just sit and shoot the breeze. One moved up a run group and one ran in a new run group for the first time.

I ran Hoosiers for the first time and I know understand why people say what they say about them. Grip was just plain old impressive to the point where braking points got moved up. Somewhat scared at times for a pansy like me but doable.

Sounds like fun. I'll happy to join you guys once the head is back on. It'd be a bit slow in its current configuration.

I was there at the Glen also... But not with the 968... Big mistake... Tried tracking my 2003 'Mercedes SL55 amg... Front straight about

120 ... Following two Porsches.... At my braking point,,, no brakes.... Got between the two Porsches and straight into the wall... Oh well,

She's at shop already...

Will be at VIR with Rezoom July 11 with the 968.

Rap,

I'm in a region, but the head is literally off my car making it a non-runner for at least another week or so... I'm a member of the Jersey Shore Region, and do a lot with the Delaware guys still. They are long time friends...

Hi all,

I was the visiting forum member at the Glen, as I am looking an other 968. I have decided to retire my 94 cab after several visits last year on the track at the Glen - what an great track and great time there with good friends.

As said I am looking an other 968 this time hard top, however it seem to be quite difficult to find any descent 968 hard top.

This actually reminds me to ask if somebody could 'clean' the for sale section, take off the cars which seem to be almost all SOLD, that would save lots of frustration for person like me, who is seriously looking to buy an other 968. Also if any member knows 94-95 max 100 000 miles 968 and for sale, color preference blue, please let me know.

585-789 0988 or m.wekara@optigolf.us

Thanks Mark
