Cant reply???
#1

Hi Guys

I know I am posting in wrong section but its the only section allowing to make post, so I apologize in advance

Can anybody tell me why I cant respond especially to my own post? On the top right hand corner it says Im unable to reply? Has anybody else been having this problem?

Im not the most computer savvy but doing nothing different than I have done for several years. maybe because I don't post enough? But again never was an issue before?

Thank you for any help and yes I already sent an e-mail to administration hopefully someone can help

Try a different browser, sometimes they don't play well together.

Hey blue968. Not sure exactly what is happening - not sure really what you mean. Can you respond to this post - ie can you reply?

I've been blocked before this. Not browser

Parting out sounds great but it's a lot of work. I think a car would be easier to sell. Not in the fall of course.

I've been having the same problem. Unable to post or respond to anything in the Lifestyle section. Occasionally, unable to respond to other posts. Also unable t open some attached photos such as the ones DS968 posted of his Maserati. I have raised the subject with Admin and we tried a couple of fixes, to no avail.

Also unable to reply on the " parting out " thread ; it has no fields enabling any reply ..

No problems so far on any other active threads ..

Guys, the ONLY issue for me is with a single thread ( the cab part out one ) - as I mentioned , I experience no problems whatsoever posting on any of the other threads, so cookies, rebooting , logging out and back in again , won't change that .

I think he is talking about his post to the classified. You can not reply to that section.

I'm also locked out of posting on the parting out thread. I have noticed this several times on several different threads.

you can't reply to that thread because it is in the classifieds.  only admins can reply there.  this is intentional, and designed to prevent the inevitable negative commentary that detracts from the ability to sell something.  all responses to classified ads need to be directed to the seller via email or PM.  it's just like ads in the newspaper.

by the way, it says this in the forum rules, at the top of the classifieds section, and again when you post an ad.

because it really isn't an ad, but really a question for discussion, and doesn't really belong in the ad section, i have moved the thread to a more appropriate area.

We have received a number of complaints that users are having trouble responding to certain posts.

Please make sure that you have tried all of these remedies to assure that your system/devices are set up properly:

1.  are cookies enabled?  this is a requirement

2.  are there any firewalls in place?  if so, check them to see if the site is being blocked

3.  is there any anti-virus software in place?  if so, check to see if it thinks the site is a virus

4.  is this problem isolated to one location/network, or multiple locations/networks?  if one location, then it is likely a block by the service provider.  have them roll your IP.

5.   is this problem isolated to one device, or on multiple devices?  if just one device, then you will need to seek other assistance

6. Reboot everything: Clear cache, browser history, reboot router, computer, etc.

The "Classified" section will NEVER allow a reply...purposely set up that way so that a members item for sale does not become subject to negativity or to cause others to be distracted.
