Can we please correct auto-correct?
#1

We're all familiar with the problems auto-correct can cause. At the very least those of us with a "smart" phone have probably experienced the havoc it can wreak.

While I understand the desire to homogenize the forum and make posts searchable for future use, can we please consider the factor of readability? Stuff like this just makes many posts look like junk. "Since the PO decided to jump ship,..." And I don't need to remind anyone of the havoc caused by the "93 Cup 93 Cup 93 Cup" issue.

If searchability is a concern, then might I suggest we add these acronyms to the search engine itself, which would remain invisible to the user while providing good and clear value, and leave the text of posts in their original and unmolested form?

i have no idea how the 93 cup thing happens. it shouldn't be catching that, but why would anybody type 93 in that instance anyway? 93??? it's 993. there was never any wheel associated to 93

i catch most of them and fix them anyway.

as for fixing things, we are going to be changing software again. it's just on the back burner at the moment, as there will almost certainly be a significant expense in making the change, and we don't have the budget for it at the moment.
