When I get this I want to be sure that the VINs are entered correctly. When I first got my cars and tried to licence them the vehicle registry here in Nova Scotia had a hard time with VINs.
My question is simple - are first three characters WP oh or WP zero?

Thanks. To register them here they had to enter WP oh. Though that made sense to me for W=Germany and PO= Porsche. But zero it is.

Sorry - I am causing confusion.
I have not yet received the software. I was just trying to get ready as I didn't want to add a VIN in the wrong format and "use up" one of my three "spots" in error. The reference to vehicle registration is for the provincial vehicle registration (ie licensing) department. They had a hard time entering the VIN as WP zero but it did work as WP oh. Based on that I just thought that it might be good to ask what the correct format should be.

Used this for the first time today on my Cayenne. The shop forgot to turn off the service reminder so I tried my luck. Only pita is that the vehicle computer uses a lot of current to run in diagnostic mode and you really need to have the batter plugged into a charger. I didn't have mine at work and the electronics shut down after about 3 minutes, telling me I need to connect the charger. So I didn't get to play around with it. The 968s won't have that protective circuit but I think hooking up a battery charger while the Durametric cable is attached is still a good idea.
More on this when I try hooking it up to my convertible. It doesn't have the CEL circuit (ROW car) so who knows what I will get.

Yes, 2 968s plus 1 Cayenne = 3.
