Bonnet (Hood) modifications
#1

I am still trying to intercool the supercharger that I am trying (emphasis on the trying) to install (not it is not the D1 kit - but I have ordered one possibly to return some sanity). As part of this process - one of the suggestions is to open up the bonnet to duct air to an intercooler in front on the distributor. Not sure how this would best be done - but does anyone out there have any pictures of modified bonnets/hoods for a 968?

One suggestion is to mount a 924 GTS scoop in the area required.

Any thoughts or inspiration out there?

You've probably already thought of this, but would the scoop (not the NACA ducts) in the factory 968 turbo hoods work? Not sure how you could get your hands on one of those to have it installed, though.

porsche didn't leave you a lot of room for an intercooler in a spot where you could use the hood for either entry or exit without a fair amount of plumbing - the kit takes up most of that room

unfortunately that kit also takes up the spot where i was able to put the 951 intercooler on the roots car
