Factory Tow Hook
#1

My car did not come with the original tool kit, nor do I really need one.

What I do need is a front tow hook, for helping to secure to my trailer.

Are all newer Porsche tow hooks the same size? I see some on eBay, and one on pelican parts #996-721-151-00.

They are not expensive, but it would help in towing and securing to trailer hook.

I tried the tow hook from my Mercedes, and when I tightened it hard, it just turned again, just a smidgen to narrow.

Thanks guys.

Yes, they are sourced fairly easily. As far as "all the same size", that I do not know. Probably all the ones from the same era are but don't know if they cross model lines.

Not all models of Porsche have the same size tow hook, the 928 is different but the 944 tow hook will interchange with the 968. Try Sunset for a new one or Oklahoma Foreign or 20th Street Auto Parts for a used one. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Have you considered tie down brackets?

I know Rennline makes some quality stuff

Thanks for the tip!

Those would be great for the rear.
