On the subject of Bilsteins. I had all four corners done a couple of months back. I was able to check the rear shocks today and note that the part No's are F4 B36 0161 HO. My first set of search's did not show these as 968 compatible but 924 and 944 (82-84) fitment. I did find a site that listed these for the 968 (
http://www.eshocks.com/bil_Ind.asp?VC=86Q38&SubChar=Q) but I'm not convinced.
Whilst I have noticed an improvement in the handling since the work was done, it is not as much as I had hoped. Without another 968 to drive on different shocks I am unable to comment whether mine is not up to scratch. But logic says that if the F4 B36 was meant as a replacement for the 924/944 range with a different spring rating etc etc, then surely when fitted to a 968 its going to provide a less than optimum result?
Everything else, suspension wise, on the car is standard.
