Baby you're the top

Does anyone have an old donor? I'll pay the shipping to get it to me, and then I can use it to show the chemists what we're dealing with.

he did throw away the top - sorry no window

he is working up the numbers for a top with the zip-out

a problem i just thought about is typical of a lot of shops - you may find it hard to get somebody to install your top - they usually like to make a profit on selling you the top too

i'd locate one who is willing, before ordering a top

Where I'm scheduled to go it's the same price whether they buy it or I do, in fact their price is a little cheaper than I could find for Robbins or GAHH, so I'm going with their purchasing it as I can save myself a lot of headache that way.

I'll be able to use my own as the donor.

Do you have any better pictures of your zip-out? Does it zip-out entirely?

Great! I hate the plastic rear window. Any chance this could be done with a glass panel?

Could a glass panel not lay down on the cubbies when in the "open" position? When dropping the top, the window would need to be first laid in the "open" position.

There is a real good shop next to my work place. I will ask him what he thinks...

i already looked into it. the glass would need to be split like a 64 mustang, and it would have to be smaller than the window is now, especially in width. rear vision would be almost nil.

the problem is the rear beam where the motors are mounted. it's just in the way. now if you were willing to delete the motors, and were willing to start cutting up the car.................

just take a look at the top when it is going down. you'll see the problems immediately.
