Darryl,
I spoke with him. That is where he got the stats (courtesy of the 968 registry). he tried to sell the car last year. Although it is a 92 it is a late 92 so it doesn't have the badge or emblems. Pretty rare though in that color.

"...drives like a 5 year old car."

How is one to interpret that statement?

i almost bought one that color - it was a bit too rough though - the top was shot, and the front end needed work - besides that though, i couldn't really get my head around it - odd color really - catches sunlight very differently - sometimes it looks rust - sometimes orange - sometimes almost gold - sometimes burnt sienna - very odd - it also had a black interior, which for los angeles was a no-go

nice Crayola reference....I like paint that looks different in differnet lights...I'm not real crazy about the newer paint jobs I've seen on some cars that actually change colors as they drive by, however.

yeah - i'm pretty much the same way - this one though was a bit too odd, and frankly, at the time i thought too girly for what i had in mind for the car - still not sure i made the right decision

I love that color - FWIW. I went by a 2002ish Mustang a couple of months ago. I really hate that car, but the guy had painted it this blue bottle fly color that changed to vivid green as I drove by. Fun to look at, but I could not drive it myself. Its like a billboard "I'm speeding, please pull me over". Who am I kidding, the closest I'll ever get to Blue or Coral red will be black.

That is probably not a second hand paint job. Ford made a Cobra Mustang that year in a color called 'Mystichrome' and that is exactly what it looked like. The cool thing was that the seats had leather inserts that matched. I thought it looked great myself.

Here is the car:

Re post #1 (how am I doing Flash?):

Man that is cheap for a clean, low mileage 968 cab.
