Another Cab Top problem
#1

Yesterday I tried to put the top down but about 1/4 of the way it stop, in the beginning I heard the motor didn't sound right but the top stopped cannot go forward or backwards. I had not choice but to put it in manual mode. I don't have the space or time to fix the problem. Can anyone recommmend a shop in Bergen County ( North Jersey).Sorry for the long message. Thank you in advance.

i would not take a top problem to an auto repair shop - adjusting convertible tops is a very intricate procedure, and left to an upholstery shop that specializes in convertible tops - this is not like the sunroof - heck, the shop manual for the top is 40 pages long - if they do it wrong, it will break the bow, which is no longer available, and it will rip the top - the liability is something that a repair shop won't want anyway

To tell you the truth I was a little skeptical in removing the top manually, but to my surprise I found it faster and safer, so I am keeping it in manual mode. Thanks to everyone who replied.

I know shops in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Walnut Creek, California that can deal with this. Can you move? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.png" class="smilie" alt="" />
