A friend was in a car accident a few weeks ago in her '06 SLK. This is what an airbag does to the skin on the arm

( imagine what it would do when it deploys in your face, which happens in the majority of cases.. ) You can even see the MBZ emblem ( from the steering wheel cover ? ) of the airbag imprinted on the burned skin ! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/ohmy.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I think our cars' airbags are even more powerful given they're first generation so I would hate to think one of those deploying - it has to be almost as painful as seeing our babies all banged up.. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/ohmy.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/mad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

yeah I'll also take a Porsche henna tattoo ( those are the kind that wash off in a week or two, right ? ) anytime, but not this .. she said the pain is tough to deal with.. as if the severe bruise was not enough, you also get a third degree burn on top of it. looks lke someone took a catttle iron and branded you.

I hate front air bags!



Mine chipped one of my teeth and once I was revived my face hurt for a week. Two weeks later.



I do however wear my seatbelt scars with pride. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />



I've decided to rip out the original seat belts on my next 968 in favor of a harness.\



Everyone please wear your seatbelts, they really really work in our cars. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
