My odometer conked out in 2006, and even after installing one of Brett's replacement gears, it never worked again.
I was rarely driving the 968, and filed it away to look at some day in the future. Recently, my office moved to a new location close to home where I can now drive to work on surface streets and no longer have a long freeway slog.
Well, lo and behold, I was sitting at a stop light this morning and pushed the reset button several times when I heard the familar sound of the odo resetting, and it started working again!
