All I want for Xmas
#1

I just took a photo of RS Barn Header and prototype intake manifold on my rebuilt motor. Looks better than my pictures on the floor! Haven't tested manifold yet but soon. Looking for increased velosity which may help when used with performance cams.

I'm still shooting to get all testing done by Jan 1, 2006 (Cams, High flow head, intake manifold).

I know, I know.

Two little holdups. The cams need to timed different due to a change in lobe centers and Michael M. is coming up with an easier way to do this (I hope) vs a degree wheel.

I need to test that before I put stage 3 head and intake on for testing and tuning. That will require a way different chip. Tons more fuel will be needed.

To test the intake I need to finish fitting throttle body to manifold and cable bracket.

Test sequence will be.

Baseline

Header,airbox,chip

Header,airbox,stock manifold, cam,custom chip

Header,airbox,protype manifold,cam,custom chip

Header, airbox, stage 3 head and matched stock manifold, cam, custom chip

We're close

By airbox, do you mean the cone filter thing you have used in other dyno tests or Dave's airbox modification?

in conversations i have had with pete, he felt that since the airbox mod dave and i did worked as well as anything could, and cost less - it was pointless to use anything else

I am going to use stock airbox with mod. I don't need to back track. From my previous testing the header, remote cone filter and chip work beautifully together. I do feel the airbox mod makes the remote filter unnecessary and has equal results. I'm mainly trying to finish cam testing/tuning and stage 3 head and intake. I'm going to sneak the prototype manifold into the mix. Real curious to see if are any gains to be had there.
