968 in Australia
#1

Here's my "new" 968, an Amazon Green 1992 Tiptronic.

She has 167000 Kms on the odometer.

Not too many options are on the car; full electric driver's seat, climate control air conditioning, and a sunroof being the major ones.

The interior trim code is LT, which I assume means leather. The seats are firm, but the surfaces have become a little hard with age.

The 17in wheels were added by the PO, they are Carrera II wheels from a 996. Doesn't help the ride, but I'm warming to the looks.

Need to replace the stereo in the near future and fix up the speakers.

This photo was taken at the border between South Australia and Victoria. It took about 17 hours of driving from Adelaide to Sydney, and it ran very well.

Thanks,

Below is a closeup of the rear wheel. I have some more photos but I need to scale them down a bit.

Very nice, BTW, code LT is the code for black, partial leather interior.

There aren't many that colour in Australia, I bet.

When I was looking for a 968 (about 1998, I think) The local Adelaide dealer (Chateau Moteur) had a green one with about 50-60,000 kms on it. Wanted a lot of money for it too. Could have been the same car.

I bought one (CS) from Sydney and brought it to Adelaide <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Good luck with it!

Yes, it could have been the same car. I haven't seen another 968 locally in that colour, although I don't see many in any colour.

It was originally delivered in Adelaide. According to the service manual, it spent a few years in Queensland, before returning to South Australia.
