968 Forums...Even Better
#1

Love it, love the home page, love the store (just bought a t-shirt)...and the site is much MUCH faster.

Great job and I look forward to visiting the site more and more, especially as we get closer to those warmer months, are we there yet?

Agreed, Getting a couple of mugs myself. Nice design!

And we steered clear of the copyright infringement by not adding the Porsche crest :-)

i'm really glad it's all being so well received

the logo was something very important to me - steering clear of infringements was critical too - wanted something cool, easily recognized, but different enough to be our own

i want to take this opportunity to thank josh for all of his help putting the new pages together - he has been an incredible resource - there is no way i could have done it without him - he has been great - fast - easy to work with - great ideas too

this is what it's all about - have fun guys

lol - somebody wasn't taking notes in class - your bookmark may only bring you here, depending on how it stored it

go to the new front page - type in the address to get there www.968forums.com - you'll find lots of cool stuff there - then you can bookmark that

If you click the "968 Forums" link at the very top left of the page under the red car logo, it will take you there...when you hover, you'll notice this link points to just the .com URL...not the /index part.

nope - takes you to the front page of the forum, but not the website

we will be adding a HOME button to the forum very soon

until then, you need to type in "www.968forums.com" once - then you can bookmark it

Nope. Doesn't work for me. Actually when I click under the car at the top from this page I go nowhere. The page just refreshes. When I click the car or the wording to the right of it I go to the index. Which is odd as far as web browsing goes. I'm not complaining but normally that logo takes you home, and with all the cool new changes we might as well have an easy way to get there.

But in the mean time click here. 968forums home

wow, that's sooo strange. When I click, it takes me to the new splash page and the URL that is displayed when I hover is indeed is http://www.968forums.com I'm talking about the dark blue/gray in the small font on the same alignment as Blogs, Gallery, Help, etc.

Yes, clicking the actual red car does indeed simply refresh the current thread/page your reading, but the actual word takes me to the new splash page.

I'm using IE 6.01.

interesting - when hovering on mine, it is the "index" page, which is the front page of the forum, not the website

I see the same thing as darryl. The small words (968 forums) under the Eric car are a link to the web page while the car is a link to the index page.

Same result for me. The hyperlink '968 Forums' at the top goes to the new home page but the image and adjoining text goes to the forum front. This is in IE 6.
