968 Cabrio
#1

Hello from Helsinki, Finland!

I just bought 968 Cabrio tiptronic with 42t miles. A bit hazy maintenance history, but the car looks good and tech looks accrding the miles.

However I instantly run into some problems when drivers door does not open anymore and I hope I can get some support to this from the forum.

Also I would need some guidance what maintenance is needed instantly to motor, trasmission and other when the actual service history is not known.

Welcome...does your door not open from the outside handle and interior. The outside handle has known issues and some can be resolved with cleaning and lube but others require parts and hard to work in tight areas. You should be able to search the site and find posts on the subject.

Terve Jari. Mukava nahda etta Suomessakin on henkilo joka on 968 fan. Itse olen asunut viimeiset 27 vuotta Australiassa josta viimeiset 6 vuotta USAConfusedsa.

Welcome to Forum.

Welcome to forum. I have donbe lots of racing with Renault 8 Gordini on ice and asphalt and, last year was with Veemax Super V in Europe 1976. Now some rounds with 968 at Watkins Glen and at Queesland Race Way near my current home.

Hope to hear from you and regards Mark Wekara

Welcome! As others have said, search around here on maintenance issues. A big important one is the timing/balance belts. Obvious are engine oil, brake fluid.
