I wish that were on the east coast.

But somethings got to be up with that listing, either there is a huge story behind the car, or it is a typo on the price.

I contacted Bob yesterday - if it's not a fake 968 body kit placed over a Yugo chassis and engine, and he does not buy the car today, I will. Provided the price is not a typo.. missing a " 1, " in front of it..

dang it !! not at all surprising though.. someone just got a great deal ( unless this car was leaking all over the place, or the interior was worn beyond all hell / cracked, torn up, etc. i was so hopeful that I'd be driving it back to the bay area this week, even had the wife's blessing to spend her next landscape project budget and everything..

Hope it went to somebody on here. I posted it hear within 15 minutes of it posting on craigslist. I would have been on it like white on rice, but I'm looking to replace my daily driver Saturn with and 1987 Mercedes 300TD wagon.

Hopefully, whatever is wrong with it to warrant that price is fixable and whoever bought it will make a car out of it instead of parting it out figuring it isn't worth anything!

Oh, great Dr. Frankenstein, meet Igor. Igor, meet Dr Frankenstein
BTW, Gene Wilder and Marty Feldman would advise you that's pronounced : Frankensteen, and Eyegor .

I side with Darryl's thoughts on the disposition of the car... if that's the only 968 the person who bought it has.. otherwise, chop away and rebuild into a super car.

Oh, don't get me wrong...I'm all for chopping when appropriate...and I'd like to find a parts car myself, but I just hope someone takes the time to assess it prior to plugging in the sawzall. I guess I consider a parts car as something that doesn't run or has been wrecked...this didn't seem to be the case at least from the photos.

Many guys would've probably given serious consideration to parting the Coupe that I bought, but as it turns out, there really isn't that much wrong with it. Pat, you drove it...it ain't that bad. I've fixed the water leaks and have driven with no underwear (trans: bellypans) for about a week or so and the only leaking that needs immediate attention is the oil drain plug and the power steering pump. I'm sure it'll need some other stuff, but nothing that would've been a deal breaker at the price I paid.

OK, all you guys keep the power tools away from my cars!
