1992 Coupe for Sale in the PCA Mart
#1

Not my car, but there is a Mint Green/Cashmere 1992 Coupe for sale. The car has 114,000 miles on it and the asking price is $22,000. If you want the contact information for the owner, PM me or go to the PCA Mart directly. The add was posted 10/29/12 so the car may still be available.

The one for sale is a reproduction that makes use of more current components and power train. Nevertheless, a very nice car to own.

The 904 in my profile photo is one of the first 904s brought to the west coast in 1964. I saw the first 904 entered in a race at Laguna Seca in 1964. It had just been delivered to Don Wester Porsche in Monterey a day or two before the races weekend. The car gave a good account of itself running against 4 works Cobras, finishing 5th behind the Cobras and just barely in front of Vic Edelbrocks split window Corvette Stingray.

He wants too much money for that car. Nice car and very rare color (only 3 N.A. 968's made in that color)...but its a 92 with 114K miles at the end of the day...and 22K is far fetched. Even for that special color. Another member just recently bought an M030 Coupe with 50K less miles, LSD, Sport Seats, also a 1 of 1 color combo approx. 6-7K less then this guy is asking for this Mint Green Coupe. If it were 6K cheaper, I would def. be interested in that car. But, with better equipped cars selling for far less, and watching cars with half the mileage go through auctions for half that price...I just can't bring myself to do it, no matter how badly I want a Mint Green 968.

I agree with you, my experience with cars advertised in the PCA Mart has been that the prices any model Porsche are almost always optimistic. The problem is you never know what they ultimately sell for.

I have actually been contemplating offering him 16K Firm for it. That's the most I feel I would pay for it, given the age/mileage/color. On the flip side...Im keeping my fingers crossed that I come across a cab I fall in love with for a steal at one of the big auctions. Wishful thinking on the latter.

Only 3 Mint Green cars were exported to North America. All 3 are 1992 models. 2 Coupes and 1 Cab. The other two have Black interior. Much nicer combo.

Not sure. But def quite a few more then that. I've seen photos of at least 6 or 7 different Mint Green ROW cars. Also, ROW 968's were sold in a few colors I have never seen here. Like Blood Orange, Continental Orange, etc.

im a fan of Summer Yellow. Not so much Speed Yellow. Most people wont agree with me, but I like pale/pastel yellow's better. First car is a JDM 968 in Summer Yellow, second car is the 1 of 1 N.A. Spec Summer Yellow car...that one is a 1970's shade of summer yellow, slightly different then the ROW cars painted Summer Yellow. Third photo is Speed Yellow for comparison.
