i threw new tires on it a few weeks ago - had them mounted at just tires - while i was there i saw the new hawkeye machine, and we decided to go ahead and align the car, and take out a bit of the front camber - big mistake - the machine was not set up properly - so, the car pulled right
so, i take it to another shop locally (my regular guy is out injured) - they do their thing - car pulls to the right
i go back this morning and do it again - car still pulls to the right - specs look right - maybe the tires are wonky? so home i go to swap them - nope - tires are fine
finally i take it to vision and we do it the old fashioned way - first we take readings - WAY OFF and would result in exactly what is going on - 4 man hours later i am back where i started with the same camber i started with and the car tracking great in the front - i am $600 lighter, but at least i can drive it now
of course i get to go back in a week or so and do it all over again after i resolve the rear camber issue by replacing the trailing arms - while i am at it this time, i am going to corner balance the car
it just never ends, and i always seem to be doing crap to my car at the 11th hour before an event

that is either the fan temp switch or the ballast resistors - either one is an easy fix, and there is good news
you can always just run the AC which will engage the fans on low speed immediately and get you through just fine - we can then diagnose the problem here after lunch - if it turns out to be ballast resistors, i have a pair here - i have a fan switch too, but that would be a messy and hot job

not to worry - you can still do this
that is either the fan temp switch or the ballast resistors - either one is an easy fix, and there is good news

Well, that's got my heart pumping again... Count me in! I'm trying to get my daughter to go again but she's not happy with the 5:30 am leaving time... So, say one with a possible bump to two...!
Thanks!!
PS - are quotes working for you guys? Not for me...

cars and coffee was as always interesting, though i didn't get a chance to see much of it this time - lol - i'll let others tell you why
everything was pretty much perfect the whole day though - the weather completely cooperated - very mild day, peaking up in the low 80's - very nice - traffic cooperated for the most part too - we actually had a chance to get out and drive the way these cars should be driven, on some very nice roads
i'll let everybody else chime in on their experiences
here is a shot of people admiring bva's supercharger

post coffee getting ready to go for the second leg:

it was a great drive, on a beautiful day, with some guys who really enjoy their cars - what's not to enjoy about that?
looking forward to the paso robles run now - we should have 4 or 5 supercharged cars on that one too, as the 3 bay area guys will have completed theirs by then

It looks like you guys had a great time!
I was hoping to some time in the future to go down to Cali when a "run" was on, but with all those SC units, I am afraid of being "left in the dust"!

As for the car's and coffee, poor flash had to answer question after question. People were not only interested in the SC but the 968 too. Mine was parked between two SC cars so everyone could look at poor-old-me stock car and see the awesome, SC powered cars. They look so clean. Great job flash!!
And then, the food and beverages at flash's villa were great. Not only did I get great food, but flash put on his gloves and diagnosed my cooling system issue. Diagnosed to the point of even giving me the part numbers to order!! Thanks so much flash!!
Great day, great cars, great people! Very awesome!!!
BTW, Just got back from SB!! Extended the trip and had a great time with my daughter!!
