Is this for real? Here's the link.

http://cgi.ebay.com/...sQ5fAccessories

From their own instructions:

We are the parts supplier, not mechanic. We can try our best to help with generic questions, but it is best to consult a professional turbocharger installer with specific questions.
There are no installation instructions included. The install is simple and most customers install it themselves in a weekend. If you cannot figure it out or feel uncomfortable with the installation, please have a professional assist.
Most of these parts are direct bolt-ons. Some are not.
The piping needs to be fitted up. Because of the bends and couplers included, it should be simple.
The T3 turbo flange needs to be welded to an adapter pipe or directly to the stock manifold.
To run this on a street car, the turbocharger down pipe will need to be connected to your existing exhaust. Expect to fabricate an adapter pipe or have an exhaust shop connect them.

For $299 I am tempted...I am quite sure those part are worth way more than that.

Whether or not they're worth $299 depends on (1) the quality of the parts; (2) whether or not you'll use anything; (3) whether or not you can get someone to purchase some or all from you for at least $299. For me, this would be a $299 pile of unused stuff.

I am still floored -

How do you build a kit without instructions? Isn't that sort of how you arise at the components required? It makes about as much sense as teets on a bull, or a pregnant nun.

If you go to his store, and type "968" in the search bar, you will see what looks to be a more complete kit for 1,600.00. Yet, it's one thing for something to be capable of the numbers they claim (That's the easy part) but what about the hidden cost to get there? You will notice he has a disclaimer that says: "with supporting modifications and built motor" - Last time I checked on what "supporting modifications and built motor" was at Powerhaus - it was over 20K!

You people are such cynics dry.gif , as soon as installed this kit will make any 968 go from 0-60 in about 4 sec, the 1/4 mile in less than 11 sec, and a top speed of nearly 200mph, with just one simple $ 50 add-on : a tow bar attaching the 968 to the rear end of a Bugatti Veyron.

Imagine how fast you could go if you added the Vortec Cyclone for another $39... cool.gif

http://www.vorteccyc...CFQQGswod2VS5MA

Do we add the 35% HP gain to the 485 HP from this kit?

655 HP for only $398...why waste your money on that "Subpar" crap from RSB and D1R???

J/K guys...

Jay

"But wait, if you act now, and you are one of the first 10 to order, we will make one of your payments for you! We can't do this all day, so call now! We will also throw in this bamboo steamer, good for steaming rice, vegetables, and even turbo charging your car. If you are not completely satisfied, return the turbo kit for a full refund, but keep the steamer as our gift to you. Call now! Operators are standing by!"

Bob/Pete, will you also sweeten the supercharger deal with a bamboo steamer?

Maybe I am just a naive sucker, but a a Garret T3/T4 turbochrager, intercooler and air cleaner can easily cost more than $400. I have no way of knowing if the tubing and all the rest will work, but I think if you are planning on turbo charging your car, this is a good deal. Obviously I know it's not a bolt on job and there are many $$$ that needs to be spent to get such a set up working.

But...

I think, if the parts a good quality this is a good deal.
