RS Barn and Design1Racing have generously offered to host a wine and cheese reception.
While I'm certain that there will be enough for everyone, I also know that we have a number of winies (wino's?) in our midst and if you would like to share a special bottle please feel free, we'd be happy to drink more laugh.gif . Details/location to follow.
Jay,
my room is booked and I am ready to go. I will have some wine for Friday reception as well. Looking forward to seeing everyone ! Rico

4,593 km – about 1 day 20 hours
I just "pasted" the above from Google Maps. That is the distance from my place to Hershey (2870 miles - each way!). It will not happen this year, but the wife mentioned we should do it next year (she has a sister in PA). What do you all think? Is it a "crazy" idea? Our 93 Cab has 80,000 miles on it. Her reasoning is that we bought the car to enjoy it and not to "moth ball" it. Look forward to some "wise" advice!
For those who are going to Hershey, have a great time!

No event can ever have enough Polar Silver Cabs

Hope you make it next year.
Rooms are starting to fill up quickly now....deadline is March 24th and then the rooms will be turned back to the general population...PLEASE book your rooms now!

Whoo hoo!
I'll take a ride up for the swap meet and hopefully score a batwing (front apron) (I keep missing them on ebay). Looking forward to meeting many of you and your cars. Also on my list is a CS wheel & strut braces should I be able to scrape together enough cash. LOL half of this stuff will be coming from Pat who live in the same state as me.. perhaps Pat will take an IOU.

It really is a great day to talk and drool on Friday.
Langley, I'd say do the drive. That swhat the car was made for. Nothing like driving a Porsche cross country.

I thought nothing was happening on Friday but various arrivals of tired drivers. I'd actually prefer Fri as Sat and Sundays are very busy family wise.

so, don't forget to bring your 968forums swag
for those of you who don't know what i'm talking about, click on the "Get Your 968 Forums Gear" icon in the upper right corner of any page of the site - it gets chilly, and we've got some pretty cool sweatshirts and stuff

David, the Swap meet is on Saturday, so you will not be able to fill your order (except with Patrick) if you only come on Friday. that being said, you will get a chance to meet and greet many of the 968ers at the hotel.
I hope you decide to go for the whole experience,
Jay

I start to wonder if I can find other 968ers to "hook up" with along the way. Just a thought.
