From the West Coast thread:

ok - here are the links to the webcast

East Coast:
http://www.ustream.t...-ends-detailing
broadcasting will begin somewhere around 10am Eastern time

West Coast:
http://www.ustream.t...flash-detailing
broadcasting will begin somewhere around 9am Pacific time

you can view both simultaneously by having two windows open

there is a chat function - it will be working - we may or may not be sitting at the computer to answer you (very hard to hold a buffer and type at the same time), but members can chat amongst themselves too

this is going to be cool

First off a big thanks to Darryl and Christine for having us
invade their shop.
Darryl thanks for the informitive afternoon and the use of
all of your goodies. I really appreceiate it!!

Also another thanks to Steve the PDR guy!!!
He did an awesome job removing my old KLA bumps.
Some of you know the bumps I speak of.

The guy is so cool, he would not take my money...

Steve, I owe you at least a beer.

John it was nice to meet you.
Also thanks for the helping hand.
That midnight blue has snuck into my top 3 favorite colors.
Awesome car! You found a great one.

Jay and Cosimo, as always it's a pleasure to see you guys.

I think it was a very successful day.
Those who dropped out, missed out.

Thanks everyone!!!!

Sure wish I could have joined you all, reluctently I am still here at work, putting in another 12hr day, with a neglected 968 in the garage. I don't bring her here because of the road conditions on site. So, I'm bummed... But I am glad you all had a decent showing, and great weather for the gathering, with simucast! I hope my luck will change for the next one. sad.gif

I concur with PorscheDude on all accounts!! Yes, Steve is a super guy and I definitely "owe him one" as well.

Great event, good turnout and those who missed it, be sure to catch the next one!

Highlights of the event included Jay's wheels and Pat's paint (and spoiler).

Cosimo wiped his car down with the Adam's Detail spray and took out a scuff with some Poorboy's World prducts (and we all got to see his new seat upholstry), Jay used one of my many "all-in-one" products on his entire car and then got a top coat of Menzerna FMJ on his hood and fenders for a little sumpin' extra, we cleaned John's MAF, and I sent Pat home with a different "all-in-one" to seal up and final coat his polish job.

All in all, we had 5 owners, 6 968s, and about a dozen or so folks counting spouses and a few office neghbors of mine popped in to say "hi". The webcast went well and as flash mentioned on his thread, there are a couple of things we can do better and/or add for next time. If nothing more, we've got some great ideas on how to utilize this technology for different topics and other events.

Great to see everyone and thanks for coming! Between helping people with cars and trying to remember to move the webcam, I didn't have opportunity to make many photos, but I'll post up what I have in the next day or so. I think some others took some, so if we can make a Gallery for these two events...thanks flash!

I'm doing the wax coat right now.
The product you gave inconjuctuon with the orbital
is giving me the shine I'm looking for.

Gonna spend the day going over the interior and engine bay.
Then some pictures and off to the classifieds.

Again, I can't thank you enough for your help and expertise
Darryl!!!

I just walked in the door from the drive home, the wheels are still sparkling.

Thanks to Darryl and Christine for their constant hospitality...it is always a pleasure.

As Darryl Mentioned we spent about 3 hours taking my wheels off the car and cleaning them front and back. We used about 6 different products, man, were they yucky!

It was great to see Cosimo and Pat and meet a new friend John, who I hope will post here in the future.

It was a smashing success!

Thanks again to everyone,

Jay

LOL, sadly, I did need to tap the brakes once or twice. But tomorrow I am going to park in a hermetically sealed garage until Hershey so my car looks as good as it did this morning. laugh.gif

I'm inspired to make it even better!

Thanks Darryl and Christine, it was a great event and I really had a good time. Your hospitality very much appreciated.

It was great meeting all you guys and putting some faces to the screen names. I see now why Darryl spoke so highly of all you folks.

Darryl gave us some great detailing tips which I am sure will come in handy.

I learned a lot plus had lots of fun.

Steve the PDR guy saved my hood as well but I never met him before so it was good seeing him. He's a cool guy.

All in all a great day and hopefully will become a reoccurring event.

Pat, how did your car turn out? I wish I could have seen the end results. Thanks for cleaning out the MAF.

John first thanks for the lead, very nice of you.

As for my detail job, did not get finished yet. Spent yesterday
waxing and fixing little things. The paint is 10x better then when I
first arrived. I just have to do the intererior and engine bay
which includes swapping out the polished intake and fuel rail cover.
I need another 6 or 7 hours to get everything done.

Glad to help out with the MAF.

No worries Pat, I am not sure if that is what you were looking for but it's worth a look.

Let me know. Jeff is an OK guy.

Really sorry I missed this one. Sounds like it was a great education as well as a good time. Any pics taken? Can the video be replayed?

Would've been great to finally meet you in person!!...but feel free to come by whenever. I may force you to come over one day if my sunroof gear replacement gives me fits.

We didn't record the event and yes, flash has created a Gallery for the photos...I'm going to post up the few shots that I have as soon as I get the resized. We hope to use the recording feature of the streaming site for other future endeavors.

Oh, trust me, I didn't forget...just didn't work out this time. My photographer had to bail to as he is in the middle of selling his house and spent the entire weekend looking for temporary housing while remaining within the school district. I'm guessing we had much more fun than he did.
