As a part of preparing for the upcoming software upgrade, we are doing some cleanup. We are also preparing for the increasing needs of the site.

As a result, some small things that have been allowed to date will be disappearing. The primary one will be images in your signature. Images will still be allowed in the avatar areas, and will remain unchanged. You may or may not already have noticed this.

Links in your signature will also not be allowed. You may post links in your "about me" area, as long as they are links to personal sites, and not commercial site to non-advertisers of this site.

We wish to discourage the hosting of images elsewhere. This is because we do not wish to lose any of the content due to a server problem on someone else's server. We are attempting to create an archive of all things 968. We are not going to disallow external hosting at this time, primarily due to video space issues, and the fact that we really can't host that here, but rather merely request that you not host images elsewhere.

External hosting is not allowed in avatars or the gallery.
