Yup - and I guess they're just over the Mahwah/Ramsey border so they have a Ramsey, NJ, address. Doesn't change the fact that they're five minutes from my home. I'll try to stop by there today.

Much appreciated. Perhaps he'll already have a shipment coming and simply add that splitter to the roster.

Wishful thinking...

I just returned from meeting Fred Opert. Nice guy, at this point a bit of a rinky-dink business, only sells new cars, but is a (the?) Strosek distributor. He says there is no stock in 968 parts in the US or in Germany but they can be made - and a group buy could result in a significant discount. As an example, he estimated that a 968 "kit" of the side skirts and splitter would go for about $1,000 - a 40% discount. To firm up pricing, he's going to contact Germany and find out what they'd charge for a group buy of 10 splitters, and what the "add" would be if there was a demand for the side skirts. He said he'd have numbers for me by Friday - and I'll let you know when I know.

In the meantime, though, since this could get serious - who wants what?

Already have the splitter, currently not interested in the side skirts until a see a set installed. So count me out.

Not sure if the skirts would look "right" on a yellow cab... Dark-colored cabs and coupes- I think they will look incredible!

Jim, does this mean some Strosek parts might find their way onto to your lovely?

Anchorman,

I would be more interested in getting these sideview mirrors then the sideskirts. Can you get me a price?

I'm just trying to help out. I have no interest in having any of these items on my car.

I'd love to add my name but I can't justify the extra 22% for our sagging CDN dollar plus the extra freight. May be next year if out dollar returns to par mad.gif

hmmm - those mirrors are definitely not my taste - for starters they are way too small to be very effective - the ones in our car are poorly placed as it is - to me those also look like mouse ears - on the yellow car they look even sillier - i think somebody needs to paint a face on the front - maybe eyebrows over the headlights, and whiskers coming from the washer bumps - then they could sell advertising space on the side - would be a great marketing car for an exterminator company

beauty is always subjective ( well, in most cases rolleyes.gif ) but I also think those mirrors are awful on our car, though they may go well on a new VW bug. IMHO, it would kill the 968 lines, making the entire car appear stubby.
