you will not be able to edit your profile until you graduate to member status - each level of membership has increasing permissions

Are the tiers listed somewhere?

I was going to add the "other information" in my profile, but was unable to find a way to edit it. I would think that info would be best entered upon registering.

I Have to agree, I don't want to just enter lame stuff. But it seems that is what I have to do.

Hmm, I'm not sure why we'd want to discourage members [at any level] from entering information[??]. I thought there may be quick answer, instead we're assigned homework to read the tutorial. If it's that involved, it's not worth my time...

[13Jan: I gotta make sure I proof-read..]

once you guys reach "rookie" level, you should all be able to easily edit your profile info - it's not "evolved" or complicated or anything like that - the limitations are there purely to give us a chance to review each new member and make sure they aren't under some other "alias" - it's all a spam thing - we figured that if somebody got to that level, they were for real, and should be allowed to do what they wanted to there

other posting limitations are there to help teach new members, and to prevent somebody from just coming on to post a for sale ad - we provide those ads as a courtesy to active members - one of the things that makes them useful is knowing something about the person, which can't happen if they haven't been participating

Flash, I met you at the Hershey swap meet as you were packing up and leaving. You adjusted my throttle cable. Hopefully I will show up earlier next time around. Haha.

cool - let me know if you have any more trouble editing your profile - i haven't tried going in as an alias to test it out, but it should work fine

Just working on getting up to rookie level so I can edit my profile. Now how many replies do I need to make before I go from newbie to member?
