Does anyone know if a maintenance schedule was ever included with the owner's manual for the 968? If so, are any of these online?

i have it too - i would post it here, but i haven't gotten the clearance letter from PCNA yet (working on that), and we don't want to get sued for posting their copywritten information without their permission

Check the cannell.co.uk site.

Pretty sure they pulled their Porsche files some time ago. I am glad I downloaded while still available.

No Porsche stuff on there now. The arm of Porsche's legal dept is very long.

Workshop manuals are still there. You've just got to find the right place.. No owners manual, unfortunately.

I have a pdf of the original 1992 Maintenance checklist. It covers 968, 911 Turbo, 911, and 928 and is 4 pages total. It lists maintenance for annual and bi-annual checks, and for 2,000-2,500, 12K, 24K, 48K, and 60K miles. Copyright by Porsche 8/91. Drop me an email if anyone needs a copy.

Cheers,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,

Would you be so kind as to email me a copy? I misplaced mine a while ago. I'll probably find it if I ever move.

not to poo-poo anything, but there isn't much on that sheet. the other problem with that schedule is that it is inaccurate by a long shot.

it gives very wrong information on belts. we all know now that the balance belt is to be retensioned every year or 15k miles (whichever comes first) and that the timing and balance belts are to be replaced at 45k miles, or 3 years, whichever comes first. if people went by that sheet, many of them would be woefully disappointed when they saw their car going up onto the tow truck.

it doesn't even talk about the variocam.

still, nice thing to have. i thought we already had it up here on the site though. i'll have to check the reading room.
