obviously a used car dealer to stay clear of, as they seem to know nothing about the car, and feel free to publish gross errors

happens all the time

without further slagging the car, or pointing out misquoting of specs and information (WOW!), do we know this one?

other than what looks to be a sagging rear suspension, it looks pretty clean, and has some nice goodies

They know what they have or should i say dont have. they are waiting for a newbie to come along. It sounds like a one onwer car with all the statements doesnt it?

i emailed the seller when it was on autotrader and specifically asked if it had M030 or LSD. Here is is reply:
New belts were done at 30k the person how owned it at the time worked for a porsche delar so it was serviced very well , No paintwork at all in fact looks better the a new 911 i had this car had the 26-step paint process from factory. Koni sport factory height adjustable firm ride to soft ride. front and rear stabilizer bars if that's what you mean iam thinking its the M030 is what it says on the window sticker that i have laminated. just a shift knob no short shifter the stock factory boot is on at the moment. 25k on the clutch feels strong no need to change yet this car was not driven hard. cam original. yep. don't have the 16inch stock but they are cheap to find.yep 220 LSD. please there is alot info on the car just give me a call . 602-327-
So I make a bid of 13,000 on ebay and get rejected.

The next day i call the owner. He owned it a year and half, and replaced the boge shocks with konis. I asked if he put in the paragon inserts where the cut the top of the strut. he said yes, and that he paid $300 to have the car aligned, and that it has adjustability. I asked if they were height adjustable to give him the benefit of the doubt - he said no.

he said he got rid of the 16" wheels because they are useless and put on 17" wheels. Couldnt confirm if mille miglias or not.

Then i asked about the suspension and brakes and he told me he put cross drilled rotors on and at a DE the instructor commented that they were not heating up. Yep the ad says never raced, and i think it was 19,500 on autotrader and cars.com.

That night i got a email from the ebay seller asking me to call him.

This was my reply:
Jarvis,
When I sent an email to Benny a few weeks ago he told me it had M030 from the factory. Today he told me it has konis that replaced the Boges and zimmerman rotors. Rotors and koni inserts are not M030 height adjustable shocks and 928 S4 front calipers. Sort of takes the premium out of it. My 944 S2 has the same mileage, a brand new clutch, M030 height adjustable konis and some other nifty stuff and I dont see myself getting 10K for the car. My 13K offer assuming all else is 100% was pretty fair in my opinoin since we dont know if the rims are genuine porsche or the prone to bend mille miglia aftemarkets. my home number is 303 953
That is a clean looking car but even with PSM, traction control and the Euro bumper the price seems a bit high for questionable service history (I say question because it's hard to trust them if they don't even know what they have)

i spoke to the owner again. he read me the window sticker. told me it had sway bars. the msrp was less than the msrp of my 90 S2. the only options were partial leather and LSD.

he told me he got a belt kit from sss. didnt say who installed it, how tensioned etc. the owner then told me what a great car it was because road n track tested it against a few cars in 94. i didnt tell him i had every r&t since about 75 i think.

good luck to him and the dealer getting 20k. if they get that, my S2 is worth 18k.
