Hey Bay Area guys!

Yup, the usual spot : Starbuck's "hut" at the Gilroy discount outlets ( Leavesley Rd exit, off HWY 101 ). Soon as the meeting time in Paso is confirmed we can set the Bay Area pre-meet time accordingly. IIRC, we depart from there
around 2 hrs ( give or take 15 min ) before the Paso designated arrival time.

Great.
We will try to be there in the 968 minus 4.

I was set to go on the original date of this years little excursion (even planned a celebration European cruise holiday with the wine tour in mind) and lo and behold the original date got moved. Prior commitments keep me from attending on the new date. Would have been fun to see everyone and a few newbies as well. Have fun and boost a glass for me!

I'm already triple booked for that weekend.
Have fun everyone....
So bring the triplets with you !

Ok, here's the forecast as it stands now ( note: add at least 5% for the " feels like " factor )
Also the lows noted below are recorded at 4 am, if fog rolls into Paso, if you're sleeping in an underground concrete bunker, and the bed is near the refrigerator. Otherwise assume the highs listed will be the case pretty much around the clock from 4:30 am to 3:30 am.

Saturday, Jun 14 Sunny; windy in the afternoon High: 96 °F Low: 59 °F
Sunday, Jun 15 Sunny; windy in the afternoon High: 96 °F Low: 59 ° F

Anyone going to visit Hearst Castle on Sunday or any advice for/against? I've never been so it seems like a good time if ever....

Rick,
My wife and I went down in May and visited Hearst Castle. It's a great tour. We reserved a 10:30 tour on a Sunday morning and found that we could take one 15 minutes earlier--there was no wait. We finished around noon, had lunch at the visitor's center, then watched the imax movie there as part of the tour. The coast was socked in when we got there, but up at the castle it was sunny, and by the time we got back it was sunny at the coast. The drive back up highway 1 was spectacular!
We also stayed at the Cambria Pines Lodge. We got the package that includes breakfast and dinner, so overall it didn't seem too steep. The gardens are really nice, food was good, room was fine.
I'm going to try to make next weekend. I'm taking the car in Friday to try to solve an a/c issue. I can feel and hear the compressor turning on and off over and over. I tried turning the thermostat way down or way up to control it, but that didn't work. Hopefully it can be resolved Friday. Don't think I want to go without the a/c though!

I had the same issue and it turned out that I had a very dirty pollen filter. I don't pretend to understand why a dirt pollen filter would cause the AC to cycle on and off but it did. As a result I change the pollen filter once per year.

Wow... My A/C isn't working for ...well, you know. But, I'm not letting that stop me. This sounds way too much fun for that...! First, getting the top fixed, then the leaking power steering, then the A/C, then the valve cover gasket, ... does it ever stop???
