There is a "she" with two purple 968s, she belongs to the NNJ PCA region. Doesn't Kim (Canada) also have two purple 968s?
That's Rene, she has a amaranth violet 94 cab and a violet blue metallic 93 coupe, both tips. The only way she would sell one is if she found a pink cab.

Jeff,
To the best of your knowledge, is Slate Gray Metallic a common or rare color? I am picking up a 92 Coupe with Gray Leather interior in a couple of weeks.
Hello Rob and welcome. As you can see I bought a 92 Slate gray Cab. Everywhere I go........well almost everywhere, people first say "nice car I never saw a 968 before" and then "what a beautiful color" Good Luck and I know from personal experience.....You will not be disappointed. As one member says all the time......"DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT." and I say drive her hard you will be AMAZED at how she'll stick with you and call you a sissy for not going even harder into that corner.

i've heard of the regional paint issues before - CA and AZ heat can be hard on some paints, but unless the car sits out all the time, it is really color specific - reds suffer the most
i've found that east coast roads do more damage because of the stuff they spread on them, and it often shows up in places a lot harder to deal with than the paint - engine bays and undercarriages are the victims on that one
but, you found a good one, so, enjoy

Hello all, I'm very new to the 968 forum. I was having a hard time finding info on them, but I seem to have found the treasure chest here.

Yes you have found the treasure chest. Stop looking. There is nothing about a 968 that you can't find here. And if it's not in the archive, it will be soon - ask and you'll get an answer.
Good luck with your search. With the wretched economy anyone with cash can pretty much name his price.

Now that she is back from the doctors I am going to have her detailed. Jeff should be able to give me the name of a good local shop. Can't wait to see what she looks like all shiney and stuff. No lie, all expenses aside, I have really come to love this car. She has been twice the fun of my 356sc. But if the economy doesn't get right and business continues to slide she may have to go on the block. Here's hoping……………
Welcome and good luck on your search.
If I come across one, I will send you a message.

I would ask a sales guy at a dealer to keep his eyes open. They do pop up as trades now and then.
