i understand about not wanting to get onto that map - it's too defining - however, the idea is valid
i'm going to try to rectify the problem a bit, though i have not yet figured out how exactly to do it - i think we should really have at least a city listing of all the members - that way people could look and see who is in their area, and potentially get an event going, or solve a problem - the members would still be able to say "no thanks" - there is no harm in it, and no other information needs to be given out - it seems plain silly to me though to not list what city you are in - who knows? you might even have a bit of fun, or meet some new friends

I agree completely, Bob. Disclosing city and state really isn't a privacy issue to me. It seems like common courtesy, considering how often people post geographic-related questions.

It's really no different than what's disclosed in member info...just a different format..If they've agreed at that point...what's the difference?
