And it is good to see that you guys will delete all those spam-attacks what could frustrate the forum.

Been snoozin' during the long NY winter. Just checked in and glad to see the site is in capable hands. Thanks to all concerned!
I see my computer savvy has not improved.

Eric took the lead (he also did that when he flew in from Calif to PA for the 2003 Celebration and brought all kinds of door prizes for the group) and has developed a first class website and chat room for 968 lovers.

I notice that many of the 234 PCA 968 Register members are on this website all the time and I think that is indicative of the perceived positive value of this site.

Eric, stay in touch. Bob, Pete and Jay you have big shoes to fill but I think your enthusiasm and experience will make this website become even better.

FYI I posted the following on R.L.. All of the new members that had been waiting for close to 2 months. I do apologize it was never my intention to let it get that bad. Thanks for hanging in there and enjoy the years of archived information you will find it extremely valuable.

I was notified this evening of this thread. Sorry to disappoint those who had conspiracy theories. I validated 84 members out of about a 700 in the queue. This was after Joel sent me a pleading email sent to my personal corporate email address. I truly felt guilty for letting him hang for so long. I stopped what I was doing and went through and validated people for an hour. All of these accounts were pending validation and most were spammers. I started a new position 6 weeks ago running an entire sales organization with an agenda to completely rebrand the company and implement new systems of automation. In parallel higher a new staff and continue with day to day sales efforts while traveling all over the country. Needless to say I have been limited on free time. Actually free time has been non existent. I do apologize to everyone who has been waiting to get validated. It was never my intention to have it get this bad.
The good news... I trained the new owners yesterday on the back end system. It's not too complicated and they get it. So validating should now be conducted on a daily basis per their comments.
It was a fun ride but I said this a long time ago, I would not abandon the site like .net. I really do believe the right set of guys are in place to continue what I started. The site needs to evolve with community and I was no longer able to support the growth.
Good luck to the site, the new owners and the loyal members. I encourage all of you to leave the past behind you, grow up and be the better person. The 968 community is too small to sweat the small stuff. All of you are good people and it was my pleasure.
PS. I am Porscheless I have had my E55 for almost a year after selling the TTX50. Overall It's been one of my favorite cars to own. I am now anxious to see if MB TT's the E63 as rumored Not sure when I will be back in the Porsche community but I will be back someday.
Again thanks for the memories!

Many thanks to our three UberFriends Flash

Eric

I say "our" forum because this place really does belong to the members. It wouldn't be so spectacular without the enthusiasm, friendliness, and gracious spirit of the members. It feels like a safety zone in the sea of choppy water forums out there. Thanks to all members who contribute ideas, suggestions, questions, and comraderie.
It's an amazing wealth of information, and thank you Flash for taking on the daunting task of helping to make it easier to find what we want when we want. "Search" is great, but it can make hunting for things a big task, so thanks for setting up new categories and for acting quickly to make changes based on everyone's feedback.
This forum has certainly made my 968 ownership a great experience. Not only do I get great advice and technical information, I also have made lots of great friends who share my delight with this classically beautiful car.
Thanks again, Pete, Jay, and Flash!!!
