Now, I love this color, and yes, I am pondering to paint the wheels, too, because originally they were green.

hey Adam it would be good to see a green 68 cs, any photo's you could put would be greatly appriciated by me and many others on this forum, i take it is not a factory colour, as clubsports only came in black, red, white, 2 shades of blue, and yellow. regards pazzer.
Hi Pazzer,
Actually, at the end of the 968CS run, they made them in a few other colours.
I have the last 968CS M030 delivered in Australia (March 1996) and the colour is Aventurine Green.
Regards,
Steve

Just looked at a nice 964RS in signal green. I have a red one just now(swap?)
I would love my CS to be in this colour. I have a maritime, 2nd favorite.

Do you mean to swap a red 964 RS for my signal green 968 CS?

if that is the deal, of course, anytime...

Plus 45K Euro and we have a deal?

You lucky .......

I have seen a nice signal green, too, but it was very expensive (around 90K euros)...
The problem with a 964 RS would be that I would want to drive it everyday and that would ruin the car. As I ride, also on track at least 10 times a year, there is no time for many track days with cars.
It seems, I have 2 optinons:
1. buy a 964 RS or a GT3
2. tune the 968
I already contacted Colin Belton (Ninemeister) about the supercharger upgrade, it would be a lot more budget-friendly solution and with that power I would be in the same league as a GT3 or 964 RS. But that still wouldn't be a 911.
Which takes me back to the original question to which not many people responded: Is a GT3 or a 964 RS that much better?

The GT is exactly that a grand tourer. It feels heavy and detached with plentyof omph but missing that driver involvement you get in the other 2.
The GT3 RS is tempting but it would be difficult not to own a 964 RS.
You do not need a 9M SC to give the GT3s a run for their money.

Yeah, that is what a Spanish guy told me, too. He used to have a 964 RS but wrecked it (I don't know how he can sleep) and bought a CS after that. I read his review comparing the two cars somewhere on the web and wrote him an email. He said that it is - of course - a lot easier to drive the 968 and 95 % of the time there isn't much between them, but in that 5 % the RS is an RS.I have 2 of these and had a weeks test drive in the GT3. I did not like it enough to part with either of my cars. CS is great on the road and not far behind the RS on the track.

I know I could keep up with the GT3s - especially on slower tracks, and obviously depending on the driver - I just said in terms of power I would be on par with them.
I think it is not a coincidence that even Walter Röhrl bought himself a 964 RS, that says it all, I suppose.
I think that it is a good learning curve, starting with a CS than upgrading to a 964 RS. I just fear that they will become very expensive in a few years. The RS has always been my favorite Porsche (or in fact car).

My RS is original panel and paint. It has had a full mechanical overhaul costing 10K Euro in 2003. 10K km since then.
