Did somebody mention Parade? It's in Charlotte this year.

Hey Duckman,

What are the dates, although I think my dance car is full with a 4000 miles trip to Albquerque. I attended the 2005 Parade in Hershey and it was fantastic. I recommend anyone going sign up fast since I was only able to attend Parade thru the generosity of Anchorman.

Great event worth attending. You may want to start a separate thread on Parade 2008.

Don, I'm sorry for not replying earlier. The dates, as by now you probably know, are June 28, through July 3. I'm registered and attending my first Parade. Excited about it, too. It's as local for me as Hershey is for you.

It sounds as it there will be a nice crowd at Hershey this year. Maybe I'll drive up for it after all. I've dressed up the old girl a little since last year and she's lookin' good.

My first Parade was the one in Hershey in 2005. Due to the anticipated heavy attendance, PCA created a lottery for registration acceptance. Unfortunately, I was not lucky and would not have been able to attend but Anchorman rode to the rescue and sold me his tickets since his wife was unable to come - thanks again Anchorman!

You will definitely have a blast at Parade, it is Porscheliscous (is that a word?). Unfortunately, I will not be able to drive to Parade this year (4000 miles to Albuqueque and back in September shoots my mileage quota for about 4 years - lol). Anyone that does go to Parade this year will have a great time.

Hope you can make it to Hershey for the Swap Meet and 968 Gathering on Saturday, April 26. Remember from my last email to 968 Register Members that the hotel cut off date is March 25.

Thanks for the reminder of the hotel cutoff date - I intend to be at Hershey for the mini-event and swap meet. After all, I have to show off my new front calipers! (Oh, I almost forgot - there's also new paint and a new top since the car was last seen.)

Great to hear that you are booking a room for the Swap Meet and 968 Gathering on Sat, April 26.

Any other PCA 968 Register members that are reading this and have not booked their discount hotel room yet (Cosimo, the Hollywood Casino beckons you), do it before March 25 or pay the normal price, if you are able to get a room during Swap Meet!

Latest status of attendees for the Hershey 968 Celebration and Swap Meet Sat April 26

So far, 21 Porsche 968s will be participating in the event this year with 5 weeks to go!

The cutoff for the discount hotel rooms is tomorrow, March 25 so if any of the 234 PCA 968 Register members need a hotel room call now. After tomorrow, rooms will be open to all at normal rate and expected to go quick to Swap Meet attendees

If you do not need a room, you have until April 25 to let me know you are attending.

Look forward to seeing you in Hershey.

Hey Pete,

Saw that you made your hotel reservation but you have not told me yet which one of your beautiful 968s are you bringing to the event? The rare Turbo S (number 10 of only 14 made) or the rare Firehawk that you recently acquired?

Got a whole bunch more 968 Register members that want to come now (must have been that last email I sent with the reminder of the hotel cut off) and would love to have you conduct a Tech Session after the Swap Meet ends around 1pm. Since more 968 Register members are coming now, I will be asking them if they want to make a tour to the Antique Auto Club of America Museum or to the new Hollywood Casino that opened up recently. We could either do the Tech Session after the Swap Meet on the grounds or at the Museum. Your thoughts?

Have fun folks. Hershey is about 2500 miles too far for me. Synch and I will keep watch in SoCal. Hell maybe we'll have our own celebration at the local Burger King.
