... or is 968 world slowing to a crawl?

There is a real lack of interesting posts or discussions (no offense to the few of you trying) - and I don't just mean here, but on .net and Club-whatever-it-is as well. It is like the Mojave out there. I posted a tech question a week ago both here and on .net and got one answer.

This is all despite the outstanding makeover of Forums.

My fear is that the community is now so officially Balkanized that the core group is hopelessly split apart.

... or perhaps this is just a natural late fall slow down as cars in some parts of the country go into hibernation and people get busy with other things.

It is completely possible that I am wrong on this one - but something is up (or down).

I've also noticed a decline in "pace" - but I'll assume that's temporary - winter is coming and cars are being used less (except for mine). I'm posting less because the problems I have to fix have already been covered, and I avoid posting just to say something.

We'll see, though.

Well that's half the posting volume right there. LOL

How's the new house Bob.

Ralph- there have always been slow times from what I have seen. This time of year business picks up for a lot of people as does travel for business and has been said a lot of people put their cars to bed for the winter. It was never a big community to start with as you know.

May be all of the questions ahve already been asked/answered. :(

yeah I noticed too. Hopefully it's just temporary. R.L. 944 forums are as hot as ever though.

The racing threads have been very interesting though.

Pretty much the case. Too many forums to keep track of, too many feuds to keep in mind when reading or posting.

Too many forums...too little time. No wonder my wife thinks all I do is car stuff on the internet.

Yeah, I noticed that Club Whatever-It-Is was pretty quiet. The same two or three threads have been at the top for weeks. .net is not much different.

It would be sooooo nice if we had just one forum to read, post, etc. Like perhaps this one?

I havent had my car for two months now, body shop and LS1 conversion, so not much to talk about. I have been surfing this site every day, seems to be the only active site. Maybe its just football, politics and holidays. In So Florida it is our time of year to bring out the ragtops....sorry some of you have to put 'em away.

Yep you can faintly hear crickets in the background at PorscheUniverse...

I'm on a number of forums and this isn't unusual - post volume varies...

Actually I rarely visit the other boards. This is pretty much my one stop shop. I for one have never seen this board truly hopping and don’t expect to as there are so few 68's out there. This doesn’t discourage me though. I just consider us a bit closer then those other forums.

hey Etnier that's a kewl avatar pic! :)

And Yes very nice avatar. I need a new avatar

There are natural ebbs and flows among all sportscar forums as people put their cars away for the snowy/rainy season and get on with the rest of their lives (families, houses, whatever....). Having too many forums magnifies the low tides, however.

It's too early to tell the death of any activities until springtime. If activity doesn't pickup then, I'd say it's a sad sign....
